AMPS members should be aware that TPAS's functions include the provision of a free advisory service to the public, with the intention of assisting in the resolving of pension disputes. A national network of volunteer advisers supports TPAS in its operating of this service.
AMPS understands that TPAS is keen to attract Volunteer Dispute Advisers with experience in SSAS and SIPP matters. An information sheet can be viewed via the link below, as can an application form.
Michelle Cracknell, Chief Executive of TPAS, will be speaking at the AMPS Technical Seminar on Tuesday 6th October. We would hope that Michelle would be pleased to speak with any AMPS representative who wished to raise any query regarding the Volunteer Dispute Adviser role.
AMPS members would be welcome also to contact Cathy Prenderville, Casework and Volunteer Manager at TPAS, if they wished to discuss the prospect of volunteering. Cathy's telephone number is 020 7630 2252.
